Michigan State notes: Mark Dantonio says Spartans to learn if they 'measure up'

EAST LANSING — Mark Dantonio doesn't believe his Michigan State football program is lucky, but he does believe the Spartans are blessed.

"I'm not afraid to sit up here in front of everybody and say I think we have God's favor at times," Dantonio said at his Sunday night press conference at Spartan Stadium. "I really do believe that."

The No. 3-ranked Spartans (12-1) had seven games come down to the final possession including Saturday night's 16-13 win over No. 5-ranked and Rose Bowl bound Iowa (12-1) in the Big Ten title game at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis.
