EAST LANSING - Michigan State's Josiah Scott is close to returning and could even play this week when Michigan State hosts Purdue.
The sophomore cornerback hasn't played this season due to a meniscus injury he suffered early in fall camp but his knee is healed and that means more progress.
"Josiah will start practicing with the team this week," Michigan State coach Mark Dantonio said on Tuesday.

Scott started all 12 games he appeared in as a true freshman last season. He had 30 tackles and two interceptions and led the team with 10 pass break-ups.
