EAST LANSING — Former Michigan State and NFL quarterback Jim Miller had plenty of insights during the Big Ten Network's broadcast of the Green-White game on Saturday.
Miller said he talked to MSU co-offensive coordinator Dave Warner and quarterbacks coach Brad Salem about the Spartans' quarterback competition and proceeded to explain why Tyler O'Connor is "the leader in the clubhouse."
"If you listen to Dave Warner, the co-offensive coordinator, he really believes that (Damion Terry) just has to grow within the playbook, understand the nuances of the position, and situational play," Miller said.
"(O'Connor's) knowledge of the offense shows; he has spent three years marinating behind Connor Cook, knowing how this offense should be run, so he comes as the leader of the clubhouse," Miller said.
