EAST LANSING - Michigan State will close the regular season at home against Rutgers on Saturday.
The Spartans (6-5, 4-4 Big Ten) have lost back-to-back games and will be hosting the one of the worst teams in the nation as the Scarlet Knights (1-10, 0-8) have dropped 10 in a row. It will be a late-afternoon kickoff (4 p.m.) on Thanksgiving weekend and the forecast calls for a high of 44 degrees and 80-percent chance of rain.
The circumstances aren't conducive to drawing a large crowd at Spartan Stadium. However, Michigan State coach Mark Dantonio on Tuesday called for fan support.
