EAST LANSING -- Denzel Valentine can not only name the game, but also the moment when he heard a basketball arena louder than he's ever heard before.
It came during freshman year with Michigan visiting the Breslin Center on Feb. 12, 2013. The Spartans had taken a 14-point lead into halftime, and extended their lead with a 10-3 run early in the frame. That run was capped when Keith Appling hit a 3-pointer with 16 minutes left to put the Spartans up by 19, and Michigan called timeout.
"It got the loudest I've ever heard the place," Valentine said on Tuesday, of a game the Spartans went on to win, 75-52.
