Mark Dantonio said having two quarterbacks capable of starting is a good problem. In theory, this is true.
But in reality?
If the coach doesn’t pick the right guy, it can lead to second-guessing, hesitant play, and one quarterback wondering when the other might job in from the sideline.
If Brian Lewerke is the right guy, he’ll have to show more than he did Saturday in MSU's 24-3 win over Maryland. So will Rocky Lombardi.
Both are capable. Just not yet consistent.
Lewerke struggled in his return Saturday at Maryland Stadium. Overthrowing and underthrowing receivers early in the game, though he ran well from the pocket.
