The day before Michigan State's homecoming football game, Spartans fans on campus can get a first look at the 2018-19 Michigan State basketball team.
The school will hold its annual "Michigan State Madness" event on Friday, Oct. 5 at Breslin Center, it announced on Thursday afternoon.
Doors open at 8:30 p.m. for an hour of autographs with players and coaches on the concourse. The program begins at 9:30 p.m. and will feature introductions of both the men's and women's teams, scrimmages and performances by the school's marching band, cheerleaders and dance team.
The event marks the unofficial kickoff for college basketball season and will be held a month and a day before the Spartans' 2018-19 season-opener against Kansas in Indianapolis.
