EAST LANSING -- The games against the big boys are nearly here, and Michigan State doesn't have much time left to iron out its rotation and bring its freshmen along.
After Wednesday's game against Louisiana-Monroe and Sunday's game against Tennessee Tech, the Spartans will move onto a 17-day portion of its schedule that will feature six games against high-major competition.
That means Michigan State has 80 minutes of basketball against teams rated outside the top 240 in KenPom rankings to get some things figured out.
Michigan State can score, but can it get stops?
"There's not a lot of room or margin for error with those freshmen," Michigan State coach Tom Izzo said on Monday after practice.
