The Michigan State Spartans landed a transfer tight end from that MSU in the SEC today. Powers Warren, the son of Big Ten Commissioner Kevin Warren, announced on Twitter he is now an MSU Spartan. He will be a preferred walk-on.
The 6-foot-3, 245-pound tight end redshirted as a freshman in Starkville in 2017 and appeared in five games in 2018 and one in 2019. He did not take the field in 2020.
Born in Kansas City, Warren grew up in Minnetonka, Minn. and majored in kinesiology with a concentration in sports studies at Mississippi State.
