EAST LANSING -- Michigan State basketball is starting the month of February back in the top 10 and with an award for its standout freshman.
The Spartans are ranked No. 10 in this week's Associated Press poll, unveiled on Monday. That's up two spots from their previous ranking, thanks to a pair of wins by 30-plus points.
Michigan State beat Northwestern by 31 points on Thursday and followed that up with a 34-point win over Rutgers on Sunday. The Rutgers win marked Michigan State's largest margin of victory since 2008.
Oklahoma remained No. 1 in the poll, followed by North Carolina.
