EAST LANSING -- Here are three things people are talking about after Michigan State's 17-10 win over Iowa:
Defense came to play
The Michigan State defense of yore finally showed up again.
The Spartans consistently pressured the quarterback all day and bottled up the Iowa run game to the tune of 0.8 yards per carry and 19 total yards. Running back Akrum Wadley had just 30 yards on 17 carries.
It also had two takeaways, one of them a strange but critical one on its own 5-yard-line (more on that below.
