EAST LANSING — Michigan State is a 1 1/2-point favorite over Penn State in Saturday's 3:30 p.m. game at Spartan Stadium, according to VegasInsider.com.
The No. 6-ranked Spartans (10-1, 6-1 Big Ten) can win the East Division with a victory over the Nittany Lions (7-4, 4-3), also clinching a trip to the Big Ten championship game in the process.
MSU would play No. 5-ranked Iowa (11-0, 7-0) on Dec. 5 in Indianapolis if it defeats Penn State.
The line on the MSU-Penn State game was not released until Monday afternoon, largely on account of the uncertain status of Spartans' senior quarterback Connor Cook.
