The injuries have mounted all season for Michigan State, particularly on offense and recently concentrated at wide receiver.
Although the position group was severely depleted, the Spartans still had Felton Davis - until last week.
Davis suffered a torn Achilles tendon in the second quarter of Michigan State's 21-7 loss to Michigan and his college career is over. Coach Mark Dantonio said he is scheduled to have surgery this week and then will complete rehab before preparing for the NFL draft.
"Felton's a positive guy and he'll work towards it and he'll be OK," Dantonio said on Tuesday.
