EAST LANSING - A lack of significant injuries and maintaining solid team health were significant factors in Michigan State's bounce-back 2017 season.
The Spartans (1-0) are just a week into their 2018 campaign and already enduring key injuries.
Redshirt junior Cole Chewins had his streak of 16 straight starts at left tackle snapped when he didn't dress last Friday for No. 15 Michigan State's 38-31 win against Utah State.
"I don't really talk about injuries, but Cole is practicing, so we'll leave it at that," Michigan State coach Mark Dantonio said Tuesday morning.
