East Lansing — Since the season began, Michigan State coach Mark Dantonio has been hoping his team’s running attack would find some consistency.
That type of production could be closer to reality this week when No. 6 Michigan State travels to Nebraska on Saturday.
For the first time since Week 2, the Spartans should have their starting offensive line intact with the return of center Jack Allen (ankle), who missed the last two games.
“When we’re all sitting there all together, we’re experienced,” Dantonio said Tuesday. “So hopefully that pays dividends.”
It’s been a bit of a jumble up front all season, as not only has Allen missed time, but tackles Jack Conklin and Kodi Kieler have been out with injuries and backup tackle Dennis Finley broke his leg his first start.
