Following Michigan State’s surprising 14-point loss to Northwestern, the Spartans fell from fourth in the AP Poll to 12th. Against Northwestern, the Spartans struggled on both end of the floor. Aaron Henry led MSU in scoring with 11 points. There was no answer for Northwestern’s Boo Buie, who put up 30 points in Evanston. The Spartans received 839 points, falling behind Wisconsin and Rutgers. In Wisconsin’s most recent game, the Badgers beat Louisville by 37 points. Rutgers took down Illinois on the back of Ron Harper Jr. in the Scarlet Knights’ most recent bout.
