The Michigan State Spartans got a shutout against the Ohio State Buckeyes Sunday to split the weekend series in East Lansing following their 5-1 loss Saturday. MSU saw junior goalie Drew DeRidder make 28 saves to keep the Buckeyes off the scoreboard while seniors Brody Stevens and Tommy Apap each had a goal and assist to lead the Spartans to victory.
Apap put MSU in the driver’s seat early with a 1-0 lead midway through the first period. He got help setting up the goal with senior forward Gianluca Esteves and Stevens.
