Michigan Tech scored three times in the third period to defeat Michigan State, 4-2, in the first of two semifinal games in the Great Lakes Invitational on Monday at Little Caesars Arena.
The Spartans took a 2-1 lead into the second intermission, but Tommy Parrottino's shorthanded goal at 1:04 into the final frame tied the game.
The Huskies took the lead on Eric Gotz's goal at 15:14. Alex Smith added an empty net goal with seven seconds remaining.
Gotz had a goal and an assist for the Huskies (11-8-1), who will play either Ferris State or Michigan in the GLI championship game on Tuesday.
