EAST LANSING -- Michigan State forward Matt Costello underwent arthroscopic surgery on his left knee on Tuesday, according to the school.
The surgery was successful, and Costello should be out "a couple of weeks" before resuming full basketball activity.
Costello was mostly mum about his knee troubles in the last few months of the season, but Spartans coach Tom Izzo said in his post-season news conference that the forward had floating cartilage that needed to be "cleaned up a bit."
"It really took him back the last five six weeks, not that anything was going to make it worse," Izzo said.
