Michigan State football's Mark Dantonio continues to dodge questions

EAST LANSING – Something happened Wednesday at the Duffy Daugherty Football Building.

Michigan State calls it pro day for its football program. It’s when players try to make their case for a collection of NFL scouts and coaches. Also an opportunity to showcase the best of the departing Spartans to television cameras and reporters locally and nationally, including the NFL Network.

Not this year.

It was closed to the media. And the university’s highest-paid employee, Mark Dantonio, continued to avoid questioning.

The only glimpse inside the football building – of former players in shorts and T-shirts lifting weights, running and going through drills – came via videos and photos from the head coach's and the program’s official Twitter accounts.
