EAST LANSING — Mark Dantonio said the one position he felt most comfortable with coming out of Michigan State football’s signing day is wide receiver.
That’s also where Julian Barnett, a cornerback by trade, moved out of necessity before this season.
Where the true freshman ends up remains up in the air, but Dantonio on Wednesday hinted that a return to defense could be in Barnett’s future.
“I think he's a guy that can play that position,” Dantonio said of what he saw from the Belleville product at wide receiver.
