UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Michigan State football running back LJ Scott did not make the trip to Penn State for Saturday’s game against the eighth-ranked Nittany Lions.
The senior has not played since Sept. 8 at Arizona State, where he pulled up lame after lining up at wide receiver and running a pass route. MSU coach Mark Dantonio has said Scott has an ankle injury.
The Youngstown, Ohio, native was cited for his eighth traffic and license-related violation after MSU’s loss to CMU on Sept. 29, but that is not why he made the trip according to a team spokesman.
