The turnover of Michigan State football's roster continued Friday.
Javez Alexander, a redshirt sophomore receiver who appeared in one game with the Spartans, has entered the NCAA transfer portal.
The 6-foot-2, 190-pound Alexander is the 15th MSU player to seek a move to another school since mid-November. A converted quarterback from Sandusky, Ohio, Alexander arrived in East Lansing as a three-star recruit in 2018.
The exodus is part of a transformation head coach Mel Tucker has initiated in his first year with the program. The stream of defections has coincided with the arrival of fivetransfers — quarterback Anthony Russo from Temple, running back Harold Joiner from Auburn, offensive lineman Jarrett Horst from Arkansas State, defensive lineman Drew Jordan from Duke and running back Kenneth Walker from Wake Forest.
