Michigan State football fans are finally getting what they want.
Gruff Sparty helmets.
Long discussed and hoped-for, the school unveiled the new and desired look Thursday on Twitter as a uniform preview for Saturday’s game at Penn State. It marks the first time it has been used on a helmet.
Fans have mocked up their own versions of potential uses for the logo on gear over the years, a few actually going as far as creating helmets with them for personal use and display. MSU’s tweet to unveil it was succinct: “You’re welcome.”
