Michigan State football has had a good recent history when it comes to quarterback recruiting.
In the 2022 class, Michigan State went out and landed four-star Katin Houser after flipping the Elite 11 finalist from Boise State. He went on to finish his senior year strong and shoot up the rankings a bit and now he’s battling it out for the starting job in East Lansing.
In 2023, Jay Johnson and Mel Tucker went out and landed four-star Sam Leavitt, flipping him from Washington State. He was one of the top quarterbacks in the class and On3 even had him listed as a top-100 prospect nationally.
