Tony Lippett hasn’t had the smoothest transition from Big Ten Receiver of the Year to the NFL, but the former Michigan State star is getting another chance in 2019.
On Tuesday, Lippett, a converted cornerback, signed with the Cincinnati Bengals, joining former teammate in East Lansing Darqueze Dennard in the defensive backfield.
While Lippett’s career in the NFL was once promising with the Miami Dolphins, he suffered a torn Achilles back in 2017, ruining his chances to start in the defensive backfield in South Beach. Even some Florida-based writers raved about his potential and the bright future of Lippett.
