For the fifth time in the past couple of weeks, Michigan State’s 2021 recruiting class has grown. On Friday afternoon, the Spartans picked up a verbal pledge from three-star defensive end Tyson Watson from Warren (Mich.) Mott.
With the commitment, Watson becomes the highest-rated recruit in Michigan State’s 2021 class, just edging out last week’s pledge Ethan Boyd.
Watson is ranked the No. 562 overall prospect and 39th-best strong-side defensive end, per 247Sports. He’s also the No. 16 player in the state of Michigan. He joins Boyd, Davion Primm and Derrick Harmon as the in-state pledges for Michigan State in the class.
