One of the best quarterbacks in the 2020 class is back on the market as four-star dual-threat Malik Hornsby de-committed from Mack Brown and North Carolina.
While he may seem like a long-shot as one of the top-100 recruits in the class and fourth-best dual-threat, according to 247Sports, and because he didn’t list the Spartans in his top eight before he committed to the Tar Heels back in May, but the staff offered him late which means they could get another run at the four-star.
Hornsby is a Texas-native and the staff has tested the market in the Lone Star State in recent years, but hasn’t had major success with elite talent — which Hornsby qualifies as.
