Annually, ESPN releases it’s preseason college football power rankings — similar to the AP poll. While it’s only the opinion of the worldwide network of sports, it can sometimes ruffle feathers or even give a team confidence heading into the season.

Tuesday, ESPN released the power rankings and it put Michigan State football at No. 8 on the first installment.
Obviously many Spartan fans are going to say that’s far too low and, for the most part, they would be correct. Although no games have been played thus far, Mark Dantonio has a ton of returning talent on the 2015 roster — many guys who have been detrimental to leading the Spartans to Rose and Cotton Bowl victories in the past two seasons.
