EAST LANSING — A year ago, Chris Kapilovic enjoyed the riches of roster retention.
Michigan State football’s offensive line coach entered the 2021 season returning seven players with 160 career starts between them, including all five regulars from the prior season. That experience resulted in an improved run game, an 11-win season and a top-10 finish.
Almost all of them are gone now. And on Tuesday, the Spartans had only seven offensive linemen participating in practice.
Which makes a double-edge difficulty during this critical spring for Kapilovic and his charges.
“That's the challenge, right?
