Mark Dantonio is trying to pick up the pieces. After a difficult loss to Ohio State in Columbus, Michigan State is moving forward with the same goals as it had before the game: Big Ten championship.
While that may seem unlikely after a 34-10 drubbing by Ohio State, the Spartans proved that they could hang with the Buckeyes, but silly mistakes, dropped passes, penalties and turnovers were the difference. Ohio State may be the best team in the Big Ten by a wide margin, but the Spartans suffered self-inflicted wounds all night long.
If not for the stupid penalties which stalled drives, dropped passes and turnovers, we could be talking about a game that came down to the wire on Saturday night in Columbus.
