Michigan State football bolstered its future defense by landing a commitment from inside linebacker Jeff Pietrowski.
The Lakewood (Ohio) St. Edward senior committed to the Spartans for the class of 2020 on Tuesday morning via Twitter.
The 6-foot-1, 235-pound Pietrowski chose the Spartans over 17 other offers including Purdue, Minnesota, Rutgers, Cincinnati, Pitt and Boston College, according to 247Sports.
Pietrowski is ranked as the 77th-best weakside linebacker in the country and the No. 53 recruit out of Ohio per 247Sports Composite.
The Spartans now have eight verbal commits for the class of 2020, four of which have came in the past week.
