Jarek Broussard’s stop with Michigan State football turned out to be a short one.
The running back on Tuesday announced his intention to enter the NFL draft after one season with the Spartans. He had one season of eligibility remaining.
The 5-foot-9, 195-pound Dallas native predominantly served as MSU’s No. 2 running back behind fellow transfer Jalen Berger this fall. Broussard finished third on the team with 298 rushing yards on 63 attempts and scored three touchdowns in 12 games, adding four catches for 48 yards. He posted season-highs of 81 rushing yards, 15 carries and two touchdowns in the Spartans’ Sept.
