EAST LANSING — Perhaps a call to Harlon Barnett is in order.
The former Michigan State football assistant, Florida State’s defensive coordinator the past two seasons, has faced Wake Forest’s offense twice. And Barnett agrees with his former boss Mark Dantonio that the “Clawfense,” named after Demon Deacons coach Dave Clawson, is out of the norm.
“It is very unique,” Barnett told reporters in October before the Seminoles faced it. “You don’t see anybody else doing it. ... They do a great job with their offense and what they do.
