Michigan State football has opened most season on a Friday night in late August or early September and now it will reportedly close the season on a Friday night in November.
The Spartans have grown accustomed to kicking off each season on the Friday of Labor Day weekend against a Group of Five program at home. It helps when a lot of fans usually travel for the weekend as Saturday home games during Labor Day weekend may not yield great attendance.
Well, as long as Michigan State is in the hunt for a postseason berth this year, the final game of the regular season will be on a Friday night.
