Despite coming off the biggest win the Michigan State football program has experienced in the past few years — outside of maybe the 2013 Big Ten title game, the Rose Bowl and Cotton Bowl — the Spartans open the final week of the season as just 1.5-point favorites over a reeling Penn State team that has lost three of five.

By no means am I saying that the Spartans deserve to be 10-point favorites and will win easily, but this team deserves more than that.
