At some point, you have to look yourself in the mirror and admit that you’re the problem. That’s been tough to do for a prideful Michigan State coaching staff, but Mark Dantonio and Co. were the reason the Spartans squandered a valiant defensive effort against the Buckeyes, losing 26-6.
The final score was not indicative of how close the game was for three-plus quarters. The Spartans were down 7-6 late in the third quarter and lined up to punt at their own 1-yard line and decided it was better to take a safety than potentially get the punt blocked for a Buckeye touchdown.
