Michigan State football's 2022 schedule is getting a Power Five makeover.
The Spartans will travel to Seattle to face Washington Sept. 17 next season, with the two schools agreeing to move up their series that was scheduled for 2028 at Husky Stadium and 2031 in East Lansing.
The Huskies now will visit Spartan Stadium on Sept. 16, 2023.
Moving the series with the Huskies replaces a two-game series against Boise State in 2022-23, which was terminated through a mutual agreement, without penalty on either side. The Spartans were originally scheduled to travel to Idaho next season, and the Broncos also entered into a deal with Washington for a home-and-home series in 2023 and 2029 that was announced Friday.
