EAST LANSING — New Michigan State football coach Mel Tucker raided one of his Big Ten rivals for his latest assistant coach addition.

Ted Gilmore will join the Spartans' staff as tight ends coach, the school released Friday. The 52-year-old served as Wisconsin's wide receivers coach since 2015 and passing game coordinator the past three seasons.
