Michigan State football lands Wake Forest RB transfer Kenneth Walker III

Mel Tucker dipped back into the transfer portal to help boost Michigan State football’s backfield.

The Spartans landed a commitment from Wake Forest transfer running back Kenneth Walker III on Tuesday, their fifth player inbound to East Lansing from the portal since the 2020 season ended Dec. 12.

The 5-foot-10, 200-pounder from Arlington, Tennessee, played two years with the Demon Deacons before opting out Dec. 8 and skipping their final two games. As a sophomore, he ran for 579 yards and 13 touchdowns, which was tied for 10th in the Football Bowl Subdivision this season.
