With Michigan State football opening spring practice in a little over a week, Mel Tucker and his staff continue to pull players from the transfer portal for next season.
Offensive lineman Brian Greene announced he plans to play for the Spartans this fall. The 6-foot-3, 300-pound Greene entered the portal in January with one year of eligibility remaining after starting five games and playing both center and right guard for the Cougars in 2021. He also missed five games due to injury and personal reasons.
A preferred walk-on in 2017 who mainly played special teams the next two seasons, Greene started all four games in 2020 for Washington State and earned All-Pac-12 honorable mention.
