Michigan State football coach Mel Tucker continues to make recruiting offensive linemen a priority, and on Wednesday the Spartans received a commitment from one of the state's best in the 2023 class.
Johnathan Slack, a three-star interior offensive lineman from Detroit King, gave his verbal commitment to MSU over social media.
Slack checks in at 6-foot-3, 280 pounds, as Tucker continues his trend of recruiting offensive linemen on the larger side. Slack chose the Spartans over offers from a host of other Power Five programs, including Arizona State, Cincinnati, Kentucky, Miami, Mississippi, Oregon, Tennessee and West Virginia.
