Michigan State football lands commitment from 3-star DE Kyle King

The Michigan State football staff is hard at work on the recruiting trail, and the Spartans' efforts paid off Friday when they secured their first commitment of the summer.

Kyle King, a 3-star defensive end from New Palestine (Indiana) High School, gave his verbal commitment to the Spartans, choosing MSU over Purdue, Indiana, Air Force and a host of Mid-American Conference schools.

"Thank you to the staff of MSU for giving me this great opportunity. I am happy to announce I have COMMITTED TO MICHIGAN STATE UNIVERSITY #gogreen," King tweeted.

King is the fifth commit for Michigan State's 2020 class, following safety Darius Snow, offensive lineman Dallas Fincher, wide receiver Ian Stewart and tight end Tommy Guajardo.
