New Michigan State football coach Mel Tucker’s recruiting run during quarantine continued Monday.
The Spartans landed a commitment from cornerback/athlete Antoine Booth II, a three-star prospect from DeMatha Catholic in Maryland who also had offers from Maryland, Rutgers, Virginia, Temple and Buffalo.
He is MSU’s sixth commitment for 2021, Tucker’s first full recruiting class since taking over Feb. 12 after Mark Dantonio’s retirement. All of them are considered three-star prospects according to 247Sports.com’s composite rankings.
That group consists of Booth, East Lansing OL Ethan Boyd, Miami (Florida) S Gabe Nealy, Oak Park RB Davion Primm, Detroit Loyola DT Derrick Harmon and Warren Mott DE Tyson Watson.
