The Michigan State football program hosted a number of official visitors last weekend, and it appears to be paying dividends.
The Spartans landed verbal commitments from a pair of recruits Wednesday for the 2024 recruiting class. Reggie Powers, a safety from Centerville (Ohio), and Camren Campbell, a defensive back from Tampa Bay (Florida) Tech, verbally committed to the Spartans on Wednesday, giving Michigan State its fourth and fifth pledges in the class — and its first additions since April.
Powers and Campbell were among a number of official visitors last weekend in East Lansing.
The 6-foot-1, 195-pound Powers had visited Northwestern and Pittsburgh, and had planned visits to Cincinnati and Ohio State as well.
