When Khari Willis came to Michigan State as a three-star athlete, there was some debate about which position fit him the best. He played running back in high school, but he had the perfect body type for a collegiate safety, so he made the transition to full-time defense.
Four years later and Willis became one of the best safeties to ever suit up for Mark Dantonio, recording 196 total tackles, 6.5 tackles for loss, 4.0 sacks, 20 pass breakups and four picks.
The aggressive safety’s best season came in 2018 when he was named a team captain and helped lead one of the best defenses in the nation.
