As Michigan State fans gear up to return to Spartan Stadium this summer/fall, two more Spartans were placed on a watch list for a national award. In this case, it was announced on Thursday that junior wide receiver Jayden Reed and senior tailback Connor Heyward have been named to the Paul Hourning Award Watch List, which honor’s the nation’s most versatile player.
The award was established in January 2010 by the Louisville Sports Commission in honor of Paul Hornung, a multi-sport and multi-position athlete and Louisville native who played at Notre Dame in the 1950s and in the NFL for the Green Bay Packers until the mid 1960s.
