EAST LANSING — A week off was supposed to get Michigan State football’s roster a little closer to whole.
The Spartans did, then came out of Saturday’s 28-7 loss against No. 6 Penn State with even more injury concerns going into another bye week.
Most significantly, senior Darrell Stewart Jr. — the Big Ten’s leading receiver entering the game — suffered an apparent leg injury late in the first half while returning a kickoff.
