SANTA CLARA, Calif. — I think Mark Dantonio knows he needs help to fix this.
Definitive proof, if he needed it, came Monday in the Redbox Bowl, when he got almost everything he wanted offensively — more than 40 carries, new wrinkles and plays he was “deeply” involved in implementing — and found the same humbling results.
The end zone is has become a bridge too far for Michigan State’s offense, which mercifully stopped playing football for season on Monday.
