But Michigan State’s football coach knows that closing his 12th year with a victory can help change the tone and tenor going into an offseason. And he remembered back to the last time the Spartans faced a similar scenario.
Back in 2012, the Spartans were headed to the Buffalo Wild Wings Bowl. Questions were swirling about his offensive coordinator and quarterback, after a season of unmet expectations and frustration from having a dominant defense and an abysmal offense.
